Upper Pagoda
Upper Pagoda / Wat Leu ( Wat Potenhean )
Preah Sihanouk Province has 5 main pagodas ( 5 main Wat ) around. Upper Pagoda was built by King Norodom Sihanouk for his teacher, Samdach Song CHOUN NATH, in 1965. It is one of the pagodas standing on the highest mountain of Sihanoukville. The upper pagoda is surrounded by forest and has wonderful view of the whole Sihanouk town with fresh air. Visitors can read the history of Buddha and the Khmer Culture. Moreover, during Khmer celebrations, visitors can participate in the observance of the traditional practices.
